The mission of Public Air Services is to support the government as a social enterprise with efficiently organized, high-quality air services. Public Air Services was founded by Denise Eikelenboom. In 1992 she became the first female helicopter pilot in the Royal Netherlands Navy. That is where her passion for the public cause started: performing Search and Rescue missions over the North Sea and participating as a pilot in a UN peacekeeping mission and anti-drug mission on board naval vessels.
Denise has since 2003 started to focus on civil aviation management. Among other things, she was director of ANWB Medical Air Assistance, the operator of the Dutch HEMS helicopters, for six years. During that period her love for public services became so strong that she now fully focuses on better, smarter and cheaper organization of air services for the government, together with the government.
